What to expect on your first visit
You should arrive shortly before your appointment,
unless you have been advised otherwise. Please inform the receptionist
of your arrival before being seated.
Before you are seen by the doctor, you will be asked to complete a
factual questionnaire regarding your problem. If you wish to fill
out the documents before coming to the
office they are available here. Some
of this information will involve your past medical history. These
questions are necessary to provide the doctor with the essential information
about you. It is also important that we know the names and dosages
of any previous and current medications you are taking.
Your first two visits will usually consist of:
Visit 1:
Case History, Consultation, Examination and X-Rays.
Visit 2:
Report of findings and beginning of the treatment phase.
Please do not ask the doctor to change this order of routine. Many
different routines have been tried and this schedule has proven to
be the best. The doctor cannot treat you until he has completed his
examination and has received your test results. On rare occasions
(if the patient is in severe pain or an emergency patient)
the doctor may alter this routine to accommodate the specific needs
of a patient. However, please do not expect or ask for emergency care
unless it is necessary. Our reputation and the results we receive
are the outcome of being very thorough and meticulous in finding the
cause of your problem. |
